Description
Hi! We are two teachers and live in a beautiful part of Queensland on five acres. We are only an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountains and rainforest, and an hour from the Sunshine Coast. Our two children are now both at university so we are empty nesters. My husband is a manual arts teacher and I am a home economics teacher so I love to cook! I am looking forward to learning some new dishes from people who stay with us and sharing unique Australian recipes. We love to travel and have travelled to many countries over the last twenty years.

We live in a beautiful spot, you will see wallabies each morning and evening sitting on our verandah. As a home economics teacher I would love to share my love of cooking with our guest.
Help
As we have been super busy in the last year we have fallen very behind on the gardening. We are looking for someone to do some weeding, some mulching, some mowing (ride-on provided) and some general maintenance around the yard. We would be very flexible around when the work was done during the week. A car/vehicle is preferable as we live a 15 minute drive away from the nearest town, and there is no public transport available.

Accommodation
We have a four bedroom house and our visitor/s will have their own bedroom and bathroom. They would need to prepare their own breakfast and lunch each day but we would love it if they would join us for dinner each night. I miss cooking for lots of people! We have an inground pool which you would be very welcome to use.
What else ...
We have a small maltese who is super friendly so you would need to like dogs. Whilst we love entertaining, neither of us are heavy drinkers or party people so our lifestyle would not suit someone who is. Absolutely no smokers thank you. We own a 1965 Mustang and enjoy going on runs in the local area. You would be more than welcome to join us if that interests you.

I ended up staying a lot longer than I thought I would but the time still flew by. They have respect, understanding and patience for their workaways and I felt at ease as soon as I stepped in the door. Their sense of humour is amazing and I see both as friends as opposed to hosts.

We were lucky to be their first workers away. Our stay was amazing, we enjoyed their georgous meals, their inground pool and their BBQ. They have a beautiful dog Zoe and she's very friendly. Moreover, Patrick accepted to drive us in his luxury… read more
