Eitan is a superb, attentive & well informed teacher. Work is hard (we were pruning trees during winter) but well paced & satisfying. Do bring wraparound sunglasses or safety goggles that seal to protect your eyes from falling debris, & sturdy work gloves (eg leather) to protect your hands from the trees' very painful needles, & cash & snacks (no… read more

Very well run project with friendly, enthusiastic people. Shai, Ido & Shaha (?) are talented, hardworking & approachable. Definitely worth their average five star rating but had to deduct two stars on account of the following.

They've been running this programme for quite a while so everything is well thought out & regularly reviewed with feedback from volunteers. Pick up some Xhosa phrases before landing if possible. Clean accommodations, friendly folk, good instruction & feedback. Talk to everyone -- they rather enjoy it! Try their margarita sans tomatoes & get Rafa some peanuts from El Tostador near Mercado Central & get Arlenne ice cream & Vielka/ Vielca potato crisps/ chips.
