In October 2017 after making the decision that there was more to life than saving for retirement. I set off with my partner to create and experience an extraordinary life!
After three years as travelling together we decided to go solo. So all of the amazing references are for both of us. I am now travelling alone.
Before we started on our adventure I had a long career in hospitality starting in the industry as an apprentice chef and working my way up to managing hotels around Australia.
I am a happy-go-lucky person with a ton of energy. I enjoy interesting conversation and am always up for a good debate . Not to say I am argumentative but I love to explore other people's perspectives.
I came home to Australia due to Covid and stepped back straight back into the hospitality industry, but travelling and helping others is my passion. I also teach English online to experience other cultures.
I enjoy working as a team as well as on individual tasks, my aim in any Workaway is to make the host's life better. Whilst working as a workawayer I have tackled a variety of projects, such as building a terraced vegetable garden as well as just helping out with household daily routine. I am extremely flexible with whatever needs doing.

Having lived a few more years than most Workawayer's, I bring with me a plethora of skill., plus a can do attitude and a mindset of it's never to late to learn new skills.
I, have a long career in hospitality , as both an employee and owning several apartment hotels. So well understand in property maintenance. Workaway experiences has allowed me to indulge in my love of gardening and have taken a few short courses in permaculture. I have really enjoyed my Workaday experiences as they have allowed me to expand my skills to include painting, and I have become very good with a sander. I am a qualified chef, and pride myself on my ability to whip up a delicious meal in minutes.
I have many skills and knowledge that I would love to share but I think the greatest skill I bring is my ability to adapt, and an attitude of, I will try anything. I would also hope I bring a little bit of wisdom to the party otherwise my grey hairs are for nothing :0.Age

What else ...
I am not a person that is constant connected to my phone , there is no place for them in the paddock or garden. I retired to travelled connect with people as more than tourist, this is a lifestyle choice not a cheap holiday. I am very flexible with dates and locations, looking to the universe to give us direction.
My references our for both myself and my exporter, but I am now travelling alone. Some more information

These two "Global Hobos" stayed with us for three weeks in January 18. They were willing to muck in with anything we had going on and helped with lawn mowing, general gardening and cooking for all of us. They also helped with specific projects such as varnishing a wooden floor,… read more
