This is a very late review, but better late than never 😄 I had a wonderful time! Dino and Nedda are amazing people who took great care of me. The jungle is super beautiful with lots of wild animals to observe (monkeys, birds, cereques and more) They have a lovely staff with which I got along very well! Everyone made me feel welcome from the beginning. The workawayers get to sleep in a big cabin in the jungle, with a bathroom and shower. The food is mostly based on rice and tortilla with fresh veggies. If you're vegetarian or vegan you're in good hands with Nedda and Dino :) My main tasks were to clean the dishes, broom the patio and to serve the guests. The workload wasn't very much so I got to spend lots of time enjoying the jungle :) My favorite thing was the pool, which is free to use for the workawayers. Also the hammocks are a nice spot to hang out in. Sometimes we didn't have any guests for a day or two, which can be pleasant but also a bit boring because there's not much to do then. You should come here if you really enjoy nature and quietness. Also you should be okay with not having wifi in your cabin. For the weekends I went to the nearby cities which was super fun! It takes some time to get there with the colectivo but puerto morelos is a lovely town by the sea and worth the drive. All in all I had an amazing experience! La presqu'ile de Crozon est un petit paradis encore préservé . Jana et ses trois adorables chiens l'ont bien compris en achetant cette maison il y a deux ans. Malgré leur bonne volonté Lilou, Ali et Mr Louis (le roi Louis) ne peuvent pas aider Jana à entretenir sa maison alors il y a beaucoup de choses à faire. J'ai pu pendant mon court séjour d'une semaine découvrir que j'étais capable de poser une salle de bains et de faire de la mosaïque ainsi que les joints ce qui est une très grande satisfaction pour moi. Nos balades de deux heures avec les chiens m'ont permis de découvrir une région que je ne connaissais pas et pourtant j'habite à une heure de là ! Merci Jana et peut-être à une autre fois

I spent a great week with Michael, Angela, and the entire family! It was my first workaway experience, so I didn’t know what to expect but they were all very friendly and really made me feel part of the family as we ate together every evening, and often watched TV… The kids were very funny, and I enjoyed being around them, playing board games, and trying to figure out what they are saying in German. The farm itself is really something special, lying in the middle of the Black Forest, I often hiked and explored the area with a bike they kindly let me use. The work was done outside, and wasn’t too difficult but was almost entirely done alone, which was okay with me, unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, but I still enjoyed it and feel like I learned a lot about Farm life. I would have enjoyed staying longer, but unfortunately, I had to leave to go to another workawayers. Thanks again for having me, and all the best!

I stayed one month with Dhurba's family and I had an amazing time. The atmosphere at the farm is very wholesome and all the family members do their best to welcome you and make you part of their family. They are all very caring people and make you feel at home. I also learned a lot about Nepali culture and their lifestyle while being there. Rupa, Sarita and Rikky are amazing chefs and always prepare delicious food and give you the opportunity to learn from them. Work was very enjoyable. Us volunteers had to work 1h in the morning either herding the goats, getting the milk, some cleaning or helping to cook. And 2 out of three days we had work in the afternoon on the fields or around the house (harvesting, planting, weeding, cleaning,..). The working time varied according to the weather but we would never work more than 2-4h. They are very worried about volunteers in these hot weather conditions and will always provide you with snacks and tea, while making sure you rest enough. During the length of my stay I met many workawayers and the group changed from sometimes 5-15 people. I think this farm is a perfect place for people to meet, exchange their cultures and just to have fun together. I met very cool people at this farm and we shared unforgettable adventures together. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to be so many people but you can always find a quite spot to yourself and enjoy the beautiful views. Thank you so much to the entire family for hosting me and being so kind. I've learned a lot from all of you and I hope to see yous soon again!

I had a incredible time at Kate's farm. It is such a lovely place with a lot if work to do. But with Kate super delicous bread which she make in the solar cooker and the food after the work, which Kate cooks also, you get enough energy ;) For me it was one of the peacefull time in my life. Thank you Kate and to all the other volunteers ! I dont know when and if it will be possible, but I really want to go there another time <3

I spent two weeks with Johannes, Mittsy, and his parents, and it was a truly wonderful experience! Johannes is an unbelievably friendly and nice soul, and I helped him in his garden to grow his produce, and I enjoyed every minute. I also went with him to the market where he sells his produce and was always a really cool experience seeing the end product of his work and how he interacted with the customers. When Johannes found out I was learning German he made a lot of effort to speak just German with me which I really appreciate, as never got bored of my often-silly German language questions. Because of this, my German improved so much after two weeks, I only wished I could have stayed longer! The location was also perfect, as the house and garden were beautiful, and I also got a room to myself which was super convenient. His parents were also wonderful, and I often ate breakfast and lunch with them where they would try to speak German with me. I also met some of his siblings and some friends that visited who were all also super friendly and interesting. All the best Johannes, I hope to come back and visit you again, if only you’re not in Sardinia by then 😉

Miguel spent three weeks in May with us. He is a calm and very gentle man. He did all kind of jobs here, constructed stairs in the garden, painted furnitures, did some weeding and a lot of other works. He works very well, with this same calm, and he sees by himself what work is to be done. He was very friendly with our grandson and we had nice evenings talking....

Aprendemos mucho sobre la cultura colombiana y llanera.Podimos compartir un poco de nuestra cultura con los niños que son muy amables y curiosos en aprender un poco sobre otras culturas. Agradecemos mucho a Rocío por su atención, ella es una persona con mucho conocimiento y muy interesante. Apasionada a sus proyectos y en poder ayudar los niños. Rocio siempre estuvo pendiente de nuestro bien estar durante el trabajo voluntario y disponible para enseñarnos la Región. Esperamos mantener contacto. Muchas gracias!!

We loved our time at Obsal Gard. Georgiana is a very kind and knowledgeable woman who can teach you lots about nature and foraging :) It’s a perfect place to unwind and be yourself and discover all the cool nature around. The daily schedule is well designed and we really loved tea time ! Thank you for this great time Georgiana, we would always come back <3

Every year we have many, many volunteers pass through and there are some that really stand out from the crowd, and Mirko is one such person! We honestly can't speak highly enough of him. During his time with us, he was always engaged, interested and responsible. No job was too large or too small and he took to each project with good humour and intelligence. In the house, Mirko was a very good communicator and got along with everyone so well - his cooking will be missed! It was honestly really beautiful. If you like to experience and learn how to live in the jungle, i can totally recommend it. It is a really authentic experience. You work hard, but learn a lot of useful skills and things about the forest. Sadi, Jacky and Sami are really committed in their project. That means you will be included in everything, in the work and also the free time which is really fun. They are amazing people! The meals are delicious and ur gonna taste some real jungle food! Fried- Yuca, ahhh. To me it was an interesting, eye opening and fun experience. I would have loved to stay longer than 3 Weeks, but didn’t have more time. In my whole time i noticed a calmness in myself which i rarely have. And bring Peanut Butter, will take your stay to a next level! :D

I had a wonderful WorkAway experience for 1 week at the end of May. It was my first stay as a workaway'er and I could'nt have ask for better hosts. I did general gardening - mowed the lawn, weeded along the driveway, tore, cut & swept leaves and branches and helped cleaning the swimming pool for the summer season - and even got a swim in the pool at the end of the week 😊… Both Ann & Martin are generous and easy-going persons with a lot of humor. We had a lot of good talks and laughs and they were very considerate and aware that the work was’nt too hard for me. We worked together in the mornings and during my spare time in the afternoons I went to see the surroundings. Ann was kind to inform me about interesting villages and spots to see nearby and she even invited me to a café and showed me the town, Fontenay-le-Comte. Lovely afternoon, Ann. Thanks a lot to both of you for inviting me into your home. I’ll always keep you in my heart.

Sebastián is an incredible person, always smiling, attentive to everything the guests need, the time he was with us helped us a lot and he was always willing to help, the 3 weeks he was with us went by super quickly, thanks for sharing with us us and we hope you can come back another time, remember that this will always be your home, enjoy your trip until later :)

Talk about an amazing first experience doing a workaway and also teaching in a foreign country. Mr. Yuth's school feels very welcoming with all the lovely, enthusiastic students and the transition from travelling into teaching couldn't have been easier all thanks to June. She is very inspiring in her dedication to the students and her work, which was very infectious when it came to mine. Loved every second of it, unfortunately I had other commitments to attend to. I would recommend staying 1 month if you have the opportunity, you will not regret it!

Really nice stay at Mevanya's place! Thekli and Mevanya welcomed us very warmly. We had our own bedroom space in this gorgeous area. We worked in their beautiful garden and kitchen (various chores around the house). During our free time, we could visit the surrounding countryside and we even went to the closest charming town Poppi. We would like to thank them again and we highly recommand a stay at their place :)

Dear Mr. Wisnu and his family. Thank you so much for everything. I had an amazing experience while I'm there. I had learnt Indonesian culture and language. They make sure that everything is fine with me or if I need anything. They treated me like one of the family member. Thier students are super active and always willing to learn more. I would love to go back there one day for sure. Best regards.

I just finished hosting Simon for 2 weeks. It has been a wonderful experience for both of us, we went out for a short time to discover new places to film. But most of the time we were enjoying our experience in italy by visiting new places, meeting new people and cooking new recipes together. Simon is great person to be be around, he is a great guitar player and the most authentic and relaxed person to learn from. I hope a great trip in italy. All the best. Ciao! Marwan

Dear Ingeborg, thank you so much for the two months at your farm! It was my first workaway experience and I absolutely enjoyed it! From the first moment on, it felt absolutely right to be there with you and your two lovely kids! I am very happy, that you thaught me so many things for example how to bake sour-dough bread:) Furthermore, I have had a lot of fun to do some gardening at yours, and that you were always open and happy about the ideas I had. And, of course, I loved spending time with your kids (who also thaught me very patiently almost all my norwegian I have been learning during the last two months). I also need to mention how wonderful the nature around your house is, I had so many magical moments there, I really appreciate that! All the best and looking forward to see you again!

Fabrizio is simply gem. He was easy-going, fun to work with and dedicated to getting the job done. When we weren't working we were exploring the city for music and engaging in thoughtful conversations. If he's not hanging out after work he's exploring off the beaten track, so don't bother giving him directions to his destination🤣 Also great smile 10/10 !!

Staying with Rose was my first workaway and it was great! Rose is smart, warm and hilarious and Suurbraak aka !Xairu is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. I've rented out the caravan since and keen to do so for a few months every year!
